Overview

Our beautiful campus is located in the northeastern part of Polk County, Florida. The school officially opened its doors to students on August 10, 2000. Ridgeview Elementary was approved to become a conversion charter school beginning the 2001-2002 school year. The focus of the school is on traditional academics with an emphasis on global studies. Our School is now Ridgeview Global Studies Academy.

Global Focus

Various nationalities are represented by students attending Ridgeview Global Studies Academy. As local contacts for direct information regarding those countries, students will have the opportunity to serve as Student Ambassadors to welcome and inform guests about Ridgeview Global Studies Academy.

The global studies strand will be threaded throughout the academic, exploratory, and enrichment curriculum. Integrated thematic units will supplement this additional academic program and include cultures, environments and economies, and emphasize the appreciation of the cultural diversity represented in these studies

School Hours

School begins promptly at 8:15AM and ends at 3:15PM. Students are not to be dropped off before 7:45AM as there is no supervision until that time.

Before or After School Care Hours

If you are interested in our before our after school care program, please contact the school office for enrollment information. Before care hours are 7:00AM - 7:45AM. After school hours are 3:15PM - 6:00PM.
